Practice test generator
Turn any flashcard deck into a multiple-choice or type-the-answer test. Quick tests are built instantly in your browser; AI tests come with fresh questions, plausible wrong answers and an explanation for each.
Why test yourself before the exam
Taking a test is not just measurement; it is one of the strongest ways to learn. Students who practise retrieving information remember far more a week later than those who reread it (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006). That is the testing effect. Multiple choice is good for a quick sweep; typed answers are harder and therefore a better rehearsal for written exams.
Quick test vs AI test
Quick test runs entirely in your browser: each question is a card’s front, and the wrong options are other answers from the same deck, picked to be similar in length. It is instant and works offline. AI test sends the deck’s text to an AI model, which rewrites the questions, invents plausible wrong options (common misconceptions) and explains each correct answer.
Use tests a few days before the exam to find weak spots, then return to spaced-repetition study for the cards you missed. No deck yet? Create one from a PDF, slides or your notes.
Questions people ask
How does the practice test generator work?
Pick a deck and the number of questions. “Quick test” builds multiple-choice questions instantly in your browser, using answers from other cards in the deck as wrong options. “AI test” asks an AI model to write fresh questions with plausible distractors and a one-line explanation for each answer.
Is a practice test better than flashcards?
They train the same skill: retrieving answers from memory. Practice tests add exam conditions (mixed order, no flipping back) and show you which topics are weak. Dunlosky et al. (2013) rated practice testing one of the two most effective study techniques.
What is the written mode?
You type the answer instead of choosing it. Typing is harder than recognising the right option, so it is a stronger test. Small typos and missing articles are accepted.
Do test results change my study schedule?
No. Practice tests are separate. Any questions you miss are listed at the end so you can review those cards.
