Turn notes into flashcards
Paste lecture notes, open a Word document, or snap a photo of handwritten pages, and the AI turns them into short, testable flashcards you can edit before saving.
Draft cards
Your cards will appear here as they are written. Nothing is saved until you choose a deck.
How to convert notes to flashcards
- Paste your notes, open a file, or add photos of handwritten pages. You can also paste a screenshot with Ctrl/⌘+V.
- Choose the card type. Cloze works well for definitions; Q&A for processes and causes.
- Generate, check each card against your notes, and fix anything vague.
- Save the deck, then study a few minutes a day with spaced repetition.
Tips for better cards
- Photos: shoot straight on, in good light, one page per photo. Up to 6 images per run.
- Notion, OneNote, Google Docs: select all, copy and paste. Formatting is ignored.
- The cleaner the notes, the better the cards. Delete to-do lists and admin first.
Good cards follow a few rules: one idea per card, one clear answer. See how to make flashcards, then review them on a spaced repetition schedule. Want to check yourself before an exam? Turn the deck into a multiple-choice practice test.
Other converters: pdf to flashcards, powerpoint to flashcards, image to flashcards, or the main AI flashcard generator (also works from a topic).
Questions people ask
Can AI make flashcards from handwritten notes?
Yes. Add a clear photo per page; an AI vision model reads the handwriting and then writes the cards. Unclear words can be misread, so check the drafts.
Should I make flashcards myself or with AI?
Writing cards yourself makes you process the material, which helps memory. AI saves time on large amounts of notes. A good middle ground: generate a draft here, then rewrite the most important cards in your own words.
Can I turn a Word document into flashcards?
Yes. Open the .docx file; its text is read in your browser. Older .doc files need to be saved as .docx or PDF first.
Where are my flashcards saved?
In your browser’s local storage on this device, with no account. Use Export or Backup to move them.
