PowerPoint to flashcards
Drop in a .pptx lecture deck and turn its slides into focused flashcards. The slide text is read on your device, so the file itself never leaves it.
Draft cards
Your cards will appear here as they are written. Nothing is saved until you choose a deck.
How to convert a PowerPoint to flashcards
- Click “Open file” and pick the .pptx. Old .ppt files: open them in PowerPoint and save as .pptx or PDF first.
- Choose the number of cards and the card type.
- Generate, then check each card. Slides often abbreviate, so expand anything cryptic.
- Save the deck and study it, print it or export it.
Tips for better cards
- Speaker notes aren’t included. If your lecturer put the detail there, paste it into the text box.
- Images in slides aren’t read from .pptx. Export the slides as PDF instead if the key content is in diagrams.
- Google Slides: File › Download › Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx).
Good cards follow a few rules: one idea per card, one clear answer. See how to make flashcards, then review them on a spaced repetition schedule. Want to check yourself before an exam? Turn the deck into a multiple-choice practice test.

Questions people ask
How do I turn PowerPoint slides into flashcards?
Open the .pptx file here, press Generate and the AI writes one card per key idea from the slide text. Review the drafts and save them to a deck.
Does it work with Google Slides or Keynote?
Yes. Download Google Slides as .pptx, or export Keynote to PowerPoint or PDF, then open the file here.
Can it read pictures and diagrams on the slides?
From .pptx only the text is read. Export the slides to PDF and, if the PDF has little text, the pages are read as images by the AI vision model, labels included.
Is it free?
Yes, with no account. There is a fair-use limit of a few generations every ten minutes.
